The Irish Jordanian Medical Collaboration (IJMC) is a multidisciplinary network dedicated to bridging connections between Irish and Jordanian healthcare communities.
Our mission is to create an inclusive platform that fosters growth, learning, and collaboration across diverse audiences.
Through initiatives in education, research, networking, and humanitarian efforts, IJMC aims to empower its members to deliver impactful programs and resources. Our commitment extends to leading annual humanitarian missions that support underserved communities in Jordan, while consistently driving innovative educational and research initiatives to foster cross-cultural collaboration and skill development.
The Founding Story Of IJMC
Inspiration and Founding Vision
In January 2024, Abdallah Nino, a final-year medical student at University College Dublin, who serves as the founding president and chairperson of the organization, was inspired by the potential to create meaningful connections between healthcare communities in Ireland and Jordan. His vision was to establish a platform that enhances medical education, research, and professional development through collaboration and shared knowledge.
Strategic Partnership and Foundation
Recognizing the potential impact of this vision, Saif El Sururi, also a final-year medical student at UCD, joined Abdallah as the vice chairperson and co-founder of IJMC. Together, they embarked on a journey to establish IJMC, utilizing their networks and reaching out to healthcare institutions across both countries.
Leadership in Jordanian Integration
From the very start, Fayiz Madanat a medical student at Jordan University who serves currently as the Regional Operations Director (Jordan), played a crucial role in aligning the efforts of the Jordanian side with the overall vision of IJMC. His leadership has been vital in establishing key relationships and coordinating initiatives that span both Ireland and Jordan.
Media and Communication Leadership
Sama Al Najjar, the Media Team Lead, brought her expertise in media and content creation to the table. Her innovative strategies and leadership have significantly shaped the IJMC’s public image and communication efforts, ensuring a robust and engaging presence in the medical community.
