Our recent information session shed light on the healthcare landscape in Ireland and the professional journey of medical practitioners, offering invaluable insights for aspiring medical trainees and students.

Keynote speaker Dr. Patrick Felle captivated the audience with his in-depth exploration of Ireland’s healthcare system, diving into its structure, challenges, and emerging opportunities. His talk provided a comprehensive overview, setting the stage for a rich discussion on navigating the healthcare field in Ireland.

For those interested in pursuing medical training in Ireland, Dr. Laith Falahat and Dr. Costa Fasheh were essential resources. They provided practical guidance on the application process, workload expectations, and compensation for trainees. Their advice included tips on succeeding as a medical student and understanding the different pathways within Ireland’s healthcare system.

Our panel featuring medical students Tala Al Qaragholi and Shams Al Jewari offered firsthand perspectives on the medical journey in Ireland. They addressed key considerations, from the application process to program structures, comparing the 6-year vs. 5-year programs and discussing the transition from pre-clinical to clinical years. The panel also provided a unique comparison of medical education systems between Jordan and Ireland, emphasizing the role of research in institutions like UCD and RCSI.
